How to make your family's Jewish calendar
Four steps, about fifteen minutes with your family list at hand.
Choose your place and year
Enter your ZIP code or city so Shabbat and holiday times match where you live. Pick the month your 12 months start, from September 2026 to December 2027. Choose your candle lighting minutes (18, 20, 30, 40 or your own number) and havdalah at nightfall or a set number of minutes. Pick Diaspora or Israel customs for holidays and Torah readings.
Add your family dates
Type each birthday, anniversary and yahrzeit, paste a list, or upload a spreadsheet (CSV). Use a regular date and tick after sunset if it happened at night, or enter the Hebrew date directly. A check list shows the Hebrew date found and the day it lands on in your calendar year.
Add 12 photos
Add a photo for each month. You can zoom and move each photo to crop it. Photos of at least 1600 by 1200 pixels print best. JPEG, PNG and WebP files up to 20 MB work.
Preview and download
Flip through all 26 pages in the preview, then download a PDF preview to check every date. Ordering printed copies is coming soon.

How the dates are checked
Hebrew dates, holidays, Torah portions and times come from Hebcal, the open source Jewish calendar used by many synagogues and apps. Before release, the calendar is tested against a second, independent Hebrew calendar library (pyluach) and an independent sunset calculation (astral) for cities in every US time zone. Family dates are tested on hard cases like Adar in leap years and the 30th of Cheshvan and Kislev.
Times are for planning. Check with your rabbi.
Questions and answers
How many pages is the calendar?
26 pages: a front cover, a photo page and a month grid for each of the 12 months, and a back cover. The PDF is A4.
What if a family member was born after sunset?
Tick after sunset. The Hebrew day starts at sundown, so the Hebrew date is the next day. The check list shows the Hebrew date it used.
Do you keep my dates and photos?
Yes, on our server, so you can come back and keep editing. You can delete your calendar at any time with the Delete my calendar button. See our privacy page.
